Firefighters and Cancer
Firefighters are at an increased risk of developing various types of cancer due to exposure to smoke and hazardous chemicals while on duty. Studies have shown that they are more likely to suffer from cancers such as testicular cancer, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and multiple myeloma compared to the general population.
